Legendary announcer and dirt racing historian Pete Secret will be having a nice display of Pennsboro Speedway photos, memorabilia and vintage videos on display during the Labor Day weekend.

On Sunday, Sept. 5th at the Hampton Inn right off the Mineral Wells exit of I-77 (just a few miles before WV Motor Speedway) Pete will be sharing his collection of various Pennsboro Speedway memories in the conference center from 9am-3pm.  We are hoping to get a few drivers comer over and shake some hands and reminisce about the legendary track.

This is a great opportunity for old race fans to get together and remember the good ol' days and also the younger fans to see some of the legends of this sport and put a picture with a name. WV Motor Speedway is a few miles down the road so there will be plenty of time to see some historic pictures and film and get to the speedway on time.

Pete has a great collection and it is a fitting tribute to Pennsboro Speedway...we hope all of you will stop by and say Hi!

Thanks
Jimmy Henry

This is free to anyone who wants to witness history for themselves.  The exhibit will close around 2:30-3pm, just in time for the WVMS gates to open.

Also, don't forget Bob Helmick's Pennsboro Reunion that will start shortly after the gates open on Sunday.  From what I understand, ALOT of time and effort has been put into this reunion at the track. Lots of displays and retired racers will be on hand.  Both exhibit and reunion should add alot to an already historical race weekend in the hills of West Virginia!
